Gate Ruler is a new TCG designed by Yoshimasa Ikeda, creator of Future Card Buddyfight for Bushiroad. Though no longer a part of the development team, his vision for the game continues as it enters its 3rd set, Ace of the Cosmos, Assemble!!, on October 29th. Why play Gate Ruler?Beyond the gorgeous artwork, high card quality, and multiple guaranteed foils per booster pack, Gate Ruler provides players with a unique game experience through the Ruler System.
The Ruler System involves choosing a card to serve as the player’s avatar in-game, known as their Ruler. In addition to being a powerful unit itself, the choice of Ruler determines deckbuilding rules, field setup, and even fundamental changes to the rules and structure of the game. From the RNG-heavy Highlander to the methodical Knight, players can choose the format and playstyle they want and not be restricted to only playing against decks of the same format.Once a player has chosen their Ruler, they can build their deck from among 5 factions, with many archetypal groupings and varied design aesthetics between them. From giant mecha, to folklore and fantasy, to eldritch horror and beyond, discover new synergies and build a deck that reflects your interests.
